We drove up to LA to meet Jenny and her pup Charcoal for an amazing brunch at the Blue Jam Cafe. The Steak & Eggs and Crunchy French Toast (Blu Jam’s signature dish) were to die for. They have a very small, dog-friendly outdoor seating area facing the sidewalk, but we somehow made it work by getting Charcoal to fit snugly under our table.
Afterwards, Hoku had his first ever sleepover without us at Charcoal’s house while David and I went to a wedding. They took walks around the neighborhood and tried to steal each other’s food. Then Hoku apparently stole/slept in Charcoal’s bed that night even though he had his own. What a bully.
